Dr. Verbenia Sousa serves the community as a minister and educator, providing faith-based guidance as a Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor through the integration of Theology, Psychology, Nutrition, Naturopathy and Wellness education.
She is not a Medical Doctor (M.D. or D.O.) and does not diagnose, treat, cure or prescribe medications for medical conditions. Her services are educational, pastoral, and wellness-oriented and are not a substitute for medical or mental health care provided by licensed healthcare professionals where required by law. With more than 07 years of Experience in General Wellness, Dr. Sousa is extensively trained in Vitamins, Nutritional Supplementation, Natural Health and Life Style Education. She also holds the DFM (Doctor of Functional Medicine) certification, which complements her expertise in Christian Counseling by supporting a whole-person approach to wellness. |

My passion for Christian Psychology is deeply rooted in my interest to understand the human happiness. I sincerely believe in the practical benefits of a life spent helping others, fully investing in the cultivation of empathy and compassion. From an Ethical and Christian perspective, we work with a Therapeutic Method of Mind Renewal, through Emotional & Spiritual Intelligence and CBT Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which helps us to balance our lives as spirit, soul and body. We deal with Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Bipolarity, Borderline, Disorders of Personality and Character, Family dysfunctions in the areas: matrimonial, childhood, youth and adolescence, as well as paternity conflicts and others. With this end in mind I have always sought out challenging and rewarding opportunities to work with people and to study human relationships and challenges. I have had a long history of Christian Psychology and related work experiences. As a Christian and church leader I have used my professional field to work with the INTEGRITY of the human being: Spirit, Soul and Body. My chosen treatment preferences are Emotional Life Coach, Christian Counseling and CBT Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, so i can be more focused on results then on the diseases. I am a presidential member of AACC-American Association of Christians Counselors, professional member of SCP-Society of Christian Psychology and member of Christian Counselor Directory. Certified CBT and Emotional Life Coach, so I use all of my knowledge to help others to release themselves from the past and live in happiness in the present.
